It Started With a Missing Shot Glass
KAPP started in my kitchen after a successful deer hunt.
We were celebrating, and I decided to make everyone a White Russian. I pulled out the vodka, Kahlúa and milk—then went looking for a shot glass.
And, of course, it was nowhere to be found.
I’ve always had a frustration with shot glasses. They disappear into the back of cabinets, they’re awkward to store, they break, and somehow when you actually need one, you can never find one.
Standing there in my kitchen, looking at the bottle in my hand, the idea just landed on me:
Why isn’t the bottle cap the shot glass?
It was so simple.
The one thing you need to measure the perfect pour could already be attached to the bottle—always there, always ready, and nearly impossible to lose.
